South Island Championships had a last-minute change of venue to Akaroa this year, so first of all, thank you to those organising, and the race committee & sailors for accomodating the change at short notice!

Thirty-eight entries from as far apart as the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Tauranga and Wellington resulted in the largest North Island regatta for many years.
